This was taken at the athletic track on campus. The track is next door to my office building. The students are still on their winter break. So everything seems to have a quiet mournful air. I found this chair in this spot next to the nets. The track had been cleared of snow, and we are currently facing a big melt, thanks to sunny warmish weather. I liked the incongruity of a simple office chair in the middle of an athletic track. I liked the deep rich red sweep of the track, and the wonderful shadows cast by the nets.
