It feels as though this year has sped by in record speed. I wish that I could slow time down and find a way to bottle those memories.
Table Tennis: Kevin and I took lessons, competed locally in as many tournaments as we could, including the Colorado Senior Games in Colorado Springs. We also attended a number of out of state tournaments as well; the US Nationals in July, to Myrtle Beach for Table Tennis Teams in August, and to the World Senior Games (Huntsman) in St. George, Utah in October.

Art: I took a couple of afternoon art classes at the Loveland Museum and the Fort Collins Senior Center. I’ve always wanted to learn to paint watercolor, so that was the medium I concentrated on.

Tai Chi: I enjoyed taking Tai Chi Chih classes at the local Senior Center. I also enjoy my weekly morning Qigong classes.
Birdwatching: I’ve been an on again, off again novice bird watcher for the last 30 years. Our local Senior Center has monthly bird talks. It was great to realise how much I enjoy bird watching and learning about birds. I’ve downloaded the Merlin ID app, and I am enjoying using it to create my bird list.

Writing: I’m so grateful to my writers group. We meet regularly, which makes me a more diligent writer. As a reader, I want to make sure that the feedback I provide is thoughtful and helpful. My current work in progress has benefited so much from the feedback of these wonderfully talented writers. Hopefully, I can get it to a point where it is ready for the query trenches! (That’s what we call that period of rejection and darkness when we try and pitch our project to a literary agent in the hopes of selling it to a publisher. Dark times.)
Gardening: In the spring of 2025, I decided to convert my front lawn into a pollinator garden. I got most of the plants from the Garden in a Box program. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it, and how excited I am to think about the garden in 2026.

Travel: We had a great time exploring Utah and Nevada this year. And of course the bucket list trip to Japan was a highlight of the year.

I’m grateful for the memories and shared experiences with those I love.
Thank you for visiting. Come back soon.
