It is the night before Thanksgiving. For those who don’t know, Thanksgiving is a great American holiday where people spend hours preparing a traditional feast of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberries and pumpkin pie. My coworkers have all given me their secret tips on creating the perfect turkey. Confession: I have never cooked a turkey. I am too intimidated by the whole thing.
Anyway Thanksgiving is a really huge holiday over here. Family members fly in from all over the country for a day of eating, after eating napping and watching football. The third thing people most enjoy about Thanksgiving – the leftovers.
Anyway, I sit here the night before Thanksgiving and I am doing my usual surfing of some favorites. I think I have mentioned that the History Carnival is really cool. I came across this interesting post about the trouble with voters.
It’s a very tongue in cheek look at the voting process. I loved the “self correcting machines…”
