Japan 2025, Kyoto Cooking Class

I think a wonderful way to learn about a culture is through its food, and what better way to have a great experience than to have a cooking class. (When we went to Thailand one of the highlights of that trip was a cooking class.)

The class provider was Magical Trip. The meeting place was an easy walk from our hotel.

From the meeting place we were escorted to this small restaurant/ kitchen.

Ingredients were prepped for us.

We first had to make the dough for the ramen noodles.

We were taught how to make Japanese dumplings or Gyoza, and then we were taken downstairs to cook the dumplings, make the fried rice, and the ramen.

3 plates of wonderful dumplings made by us students
Chef cooks our noodles and teaches us how to shake them before he puts them in the bowls.

It was a great experience. We learned about how to make delicious ramen, gyoza and fried rice. And after we cooked it, we had a wonderful and delicious meal.
